Greetings from the Congo! I am doing well, here in the Diocese of Tshumbe. Last month I was asked to preach a retreat to the clergy of the diocese. It went very well, and I felt the prayer support from my many friends. Now the sisters of the diocese have asked me to do another one. I’m debating whether I will have the time to prepare for it.
Would some of you have time to send mail to me via the postal service? I have many friends in the USA with whom I correspond via email, but many others whose email I do not have. If I were to receive regular letters from them, I could reply through the postal service.
I recently emailed Father Gerard LeComte, the pastor of St. John Eudes Church in Chatsworth. That is a Church where I made many friends who have pledged to help me in the Congo. I hope some day to return to Chatsworth and celebrate my thanksgiving Mass at the parish. I will let you know whenever I hear back from Father Gerard.
